Riot in the Ring Rules Empty Riot in the Ring Rules

Post  Front Office Sun Sep 09, 2012 6:34 pm

The Riot in the Ring takes place as part of the GWA Resurrection event on Sunday, September 16 at 7 PM EST. Every member of the GWA roster is eligible to compete.

Before the event, the entire GWA roster will be randomized and every wrestler assigned a number. These numbers will represent the order in which wrestlers will enter the Riot in the Ring. Wrestlers WILL NOT know their numbers until they are called during the match. It is therefore imperative to pay attention to the match from the beginning.

The wrestlers assigned numbers one and two will start the match. Number one will start on the right side of the dice; number two on the left. After 3 rounds of moves, another wrestler will join the action. This process will repeat until every wrestler has entered. The number of wrestlers in the ring at any time is the number of dice that will be rolled. Wrestlers entering the match will always get the left-most die, with everyone else moving over a spot. With 3 or more wrestlers in the ring, wrestlers must indicate whom they are attacking. If your roll is higher than that of the wrestler you're attacking, you hit.

Example:*

Referee: GRIMM ON THE LEFT, HORUS ON THE RIGHT.
Referee: ENTER'EM!
Grimm Shadow: DDT in the center of the ring.
Horus: Counter with a backdrop.
OnlineHost: Referee rolled 2 10-sided dice: 5 2
Referee: GRIMM SHADOW WITH THE DDT ON HORUS!
Referee: THE NEXT WRESTLER TO ENTER IS MIKEY IRISH!
Referee: MIKEY - GRIMM - HORUS. ENTER'EM!
Mikey Irish: Hit the ring and land a Spinning Heel Kick to Horus' jaw.
Grimm Shadow: Stomp on Horus in the ring.
Horus: Running Clothesline to Mikey Irish.
OnlineHost: Referee rolled 3 10-sided dice: 7 4 6
Referee: MIKEY STORMS THE RING AND KICKS HORUS!
Referee: GRIMM SHADOW DOES NOT CONNECT WITH HIS STOMP.
Referee: HORUS MISSES THE CLOTHESLINE!

* In this example, the first two wrestlers had already wrestled 2 rounds of moves.

There are no pinfalls, submissions, or DQs in this match. Wrestlers are eliminated by being thrown over the top rope to the floor. In order for a wrestler to be eliminated, he must be sufficiently weakened. Eliminations can occur at any time in the match. Elimination attempts must be indicated in your move. If you attempt to eliminate a wrestler, you cannot do damage on that move. If your roll is higher than that of the wrestler you are trying to eliminate, the referee will determine whether he's eliminated or can fight it off.

Important: You can only attack or attempt to eliminate one wrestler per round of moves.

Foreign objects, switches, and setups are NOT allowed in the Riot in the Ring. Rope moves and finishers ARE allowed. There is no "move advantage" in a Riot in the Ring match. If your roll ties that of the wrestler you're targetting, you do not hit.

Only wrestlers present in the GWA Arena when their name is called will be entered into the match. If a wrestler is not present when his number comes up, he will be skipped and the next name called. If that happens, the wrestler will not be able to get back in the match. A wrestler present in the GWA Arena will automatically be entered into the match when he's called. If he does not enter a move in a timely manner, the match will proceed with him in the ring and vulnerable for attack.

The match ends when the last wrestler has entered the ring and all but one have been eliminated. That wrestler will be declared the winner and receive the Around the Clock contract, which can be used for a title opportunity against the champion ANY TIME after the title is awarded. The Around the Clock contract, if not used, expires at the end of the season (after 6 months).
